It kept moving faster...this hopeless disaster. I felt overwhelmed. Like I was still breathing but somehow I'd wound up in hell. I was not yet a man. But I was left on my own; thrown to the wolves. Left to fend for myself in a world that I'd never known.

And when I couldn't lick my wounds and carry on, I was picked up and dragged along.
